Cranberry Orange Smoothie

The countdown is on. So much to do over the next two days to get ready for Christmas. I still have a pile of presents to wrap, the house needs to be cleaned before company arrives (I like to leave it to the last minute so that my little one doesn’t completely destroy my hard work) and I still have a grocery trip to do.  So much to do and so little time.  Need a boost to get the day going…since I absolutely loved the Cranberry Apple Spinach Smoothie I thought I’d do a twist on this morning and I created this amazing Cranberry Orange Smoothie.  It is delicious, nutritious and packed with protein to keep you going. Today’s post is short and simple because quite frankly, that to-do list isn’t getting any shorter.

I used fresh cranberries for this recipe but frozen would work as well. I also used Vanilla Protein powder from Vega as it is my absolute favourite brand. This cranberry orange smoothie can be whipped up in just minutes and is perfect for those busy days where you need to have breakfast on the run.

Hope you are all ahead of me with your to-do lists!  I’m still dreaming of a white Christmas but with these high temperatures, I think it will stay a dream. I guess this is what Christmas in the Southern hemisphere must feel like. Oh well – at least I will be surrounded by family and friends which is the most important part of the season.  Wishing you all a safe and healthy holiday season.

A cranberry orange smoothie is an easy and tasty way to start your day. Nutritious and delicious!
