Coffee Smoothie – A morning pick me up
Start your week off right
In the mornings, I really don’t have a lot of time to get ready and out the door. That is mostly my own fault but also designed to maximize my sleep time. I’m up and out within 30 minutes each morning to catch an early train and be in my office by 7am each morning. I’ve been getting lazier and lazier and have found myself stopping at Starbucks each morning and getting a Venti Blonde Soy Misto and either a yogurt/granola cup or a rustic bacon sandwich. Not the best start to the day and definitely not good for my pocket book. While I love the Starbucks app I’m not sure the automatic reloads on my Gold Starbucks Card is the best thing especially when the notifications are coming closer and closer together.
I’m going to set myself a goal of no Starbucks stops over the next week. Notice I’m not saying I’ll never go to Starbucks again but I do need to bring a bit more balance to my life. I’m also not swearing off coffee – that would be crazy talk! I don’t think anyone would want to hang out with me if I didn’t start my day with a caffeinated beverage.
I am though going to try really, really hard to combine my love for coffee and my love for smoothies into one delicious and nutritious breakfast. I’ve shared a couple of coffee smoothie recipes in the past but none is easier than the one I’m sharing today.
